Vom Ikat zum Imitat
Während eines experimentellen Textilprojekts entstand der Versuch Leuchtpunkte, Lichtreflexe, Langzeitbelichtungen und Weltraumsituationen als Ikatgewebe darzustellen.
Aus einer Kombination von Kett- und Schussgarnfärbung, selbstleuchtenden Farben, kontrolliertem und unkontrolliertem Ziehen des Schussgarns, sind unzählige spannende Ikatproben entstanden.

Design concept and implementation.
During an experimental textile project light points, light reflections, long exposures and space situations were transferred into a Ikat weaving.
From a combination of warp and weft yarn coloring, self-luminous colors, controlled and uncontrolled pulling of the weft, countless unexpected Ikat examples emerged.
